GP and Doctor Referrals
We are able to accept referrals through e-referral, email, fax, mail and in person.
e-Referral
We support and encourage electonic referrals to minimise delays for patients and referring Doctors. The e-referral details for all Southern Breast Oncology specialists are available via the ReferralNet, Promedicus and Argus networks and through your Clinical or Practice management software or your transcription services.
Letters of referral can be emailed to admin@sboncology.com.au. We would encourage referrals be attached as PDF documents. All email addresses at Southern Breast Oncology receive secure email (TLSv1.2) by default.
Fax and phone
Referrals can faxed to 03 9575 5110. For general referral inquiries call 03 9575 5100.
We aim to see new patients within a few days of referral. However for urgent situations please call reception or ask to speak directly to a consultant.
Parking
Parking is available at the rear of our building – enter from Chester Street. Limited onstreet parking is also available.
Bus
Ventura Bus 703 runs along Centre Road and stops at the corner of Chester street. From here it is a very short walk to the rooms.
Fees
Our fees are available on enquiry. We discount fees for Pensioners, Health Care Card holders and for patients with special circumstances. Please direct any queries to Reception.
Consultations
Consultations are made throughout the week according to the Doctors’ availability. Normal practice hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
